WHO ARE WE?

Public Health Nurse is the new term for health visitor and school nurse. The name has been changed because we now work from 0-19yrs as one integrated team. We are all trained nurses who have specialised in family health, child development, health promotion, health protection and supporting parents with children aged 0-19yrs.
Community Staff Nurses support the public health nurses in the delivery of health promotion programmes and home visiting in the community.
Community Nursery Nurses also work along side the staff nurse and the public health nurses to support both home visiting and health promotion programmes in the community.

Parenting ~ Child development ~ Child health
Toileting and Enuresis ~ Sleep problems ~ Allergies
Mental health ~ Sexual health ~ Drugs and alcohol ~ Smoking cessation
