Pre School Provision
Pre Schools provide quality, affordable and accessible childcare for children and their families aged from two or two and a half years to five years in safe, secure and stimulating environments. They are open term time only offering varying sessions, generally between the hours of 9am and 3pm. Pre Schools are regulated by Ofsted and supported by the Early Years and Childcare Service. Staff are required to have an Enhanced Criminal Record check and the majority of staff to be qualified to level three. They work within the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile to offer quality learning experiences for each child as an individual.
A maximum of 15 hours free early years entitlement is available from the term after each chil's third birthday.
Day Nurseries
This provision offers full day facilities. They are generally open all day between the hours of 7am to 7pm. You can choose between morning, afternoons or full days. Staff are CRB checked and qualified to good levels and are regulated by Ofsted. Day nurseries are required to work within the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile to offer a range of stimulating opportunities to meet each child's individual needs. A maximum of 15 hours free early years entitlement is available from the term after each child's third birthday.
Home based Childcare
This is a mixture of Nannies, Child minders and accredited Childminders (qualified). Nannies generally are available all day for working parents and can be both qualified and unqualified. Childminders can be available for a variety of days and times, but generally work term time only and alongside school hours. They are each supported by the Early Years and Childcare Service and are Ofsted inspected.
